SS 3024 Remote I/O Module 4-Channel V/mA Output on RS-485 Network

General Description

The SS 3024 device generates up to 4 analog output signals from digital commands. Data values are transmitted via MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol to the RS-485 network (an RS-232 interface is available).

It is possible to generate voltage signals up to 10V and current signals up to 20mA, both active and passive loop.

By means of a 16-bit converter, the device guarantees high accuracy and stable measurement with respect to time and temperature.

To ensure plant safety, two Watch-Dog timer alarms are provided.

The 2000 Vac isolation between inputs, power supply and serial line removes unwanted grounding effects, allowing the device to be used even in harsh environmental conditions.

The SS 3024 complies with the 89/336/CEE directive on electromagnetic compatibility.

The device is housed in a rugged self-extinguishing plastic case which, thanks to its slim profile of only 17.5 mm, allows high-density mounting on an EN-50022 standard DIN rail.
